The Fayetteville Public Schools administration is continuing to monitor the forecast for winter weather that is expected to arrive mid-day tomorrow, Thursday, January 9. Based on the current forecast, Fayetteville Public Schools will release students two hours early tomorrow, Thursday, January 9. This early release will allow us to safely transport students home before the roads become hazardous. The release times for school will be as follows:

  • Elementary Schools: 1:10 p.m.

  • ALLPS: 1:45 p.m.

  • Jr. High Schools: 1:50 p.m.

We wanted you to have this information in advance so that you can plan accordingly. Please be advised that school buses will drop students off at their respective bus stops approximately two hours earlier than usual tomorrow afternoon. Likewise, students who do not ride the bus should be picked up within 30 minutes of the release times noted above.

In addition, all district offices will close no later than 3:30 p.m. tomorrow afternoon, and all after school activities and practices will be cancelled for tomorrow.

We will continue to monitor the forecast throughout the evening and early morning, and we will communicate with you should any of these plans need to change. Thank you for your understanding and support as we prepare for the impending winter weather.
