Since learning can happen at home, on the road or wherever an internet connection can be found, the Fayetteville School District is excited to provide an online, tuition-free public school that serves students in grades K-12. In 2016, Fayetteville Virtual Academy opened as the first district charter conversion online public school in the state of Arkansas.
In 2018, FVA earned an ‘A’ rating from the Arkansas Department of Education and is recognized as the highest performing virtual school in the state. Our certified teachers are fully licensed by the Arkansas Department of Education.
Students choose personalized pathways that may include Pre AP, AP and concurrent courses as well as more than 70 elective offerings.
Our asynchronous classes allow students the flexibility to set their own schedule and progress through the curriculum at their own pace during the school year. FVA teachers are also available to meet with students online or face to face on the FVA campus.
FVA students may choose to participate in weekly field experiences that are focused on arts, history, technology and service learning as well as the Fayetteville Public Schools’ award-winning arts, academic and athletic programs.
School Choice Deadline
If you reside in another school district and plan to enroll at FVA for the upcoming school year, you may complete a School Choice application by May 1st of the current school year.
After the May 1st deadline, you must complete a Petition for Transfer form and send to your residential school district. Once approved, it will be forwarded to the Fayetteville District. Once approved, you will be contacted by FVA to schedule an enrollment appointment.
